Well, most recently there has been a lot of emode drama, mostly kept to myself, but whatever... But, the jist of the situation was that I decided i was pretty unreasonably miserable, and wanted to move someplace, just NOT back home. So, I was very tempted to see if I could con Ea and CJ into moving to Oregon with me. Maybe Portland, a friend said Austouria and Seaside were good places to live too. I talked to Ea about it after the EMO-fest and she thought it was a pretty cool idea, and we talked beifly about how cool it would be to live together HERE.
I really miss Ea. I have a tendency to get homesick for her, more than anything else, maybe because my family and I aren't REALLY close, although we all get along fairly well. Even so, I miss her and the rest of my posse. Which, becuase if this, I may make a separate post later with pics from the party back in Feb.

Well, I've been putting this off, and I'm sure I'll end up the only person NOT mortified by this...

I statrted reading the twatlight series.
OMG, Glitter vampires and teen wangst = lol.

Actually They're bad. But not so bad that I can't enjoy them.
They rank right up there with the other vampire/werewoles books I read in middle/high school.
But I srsly just about peed myself when I was reading about the glittering vampires. rly, Meyers, wtf?

I think if the main character wasn't such an emo-fag I might actually be able to enjoy this more, glittering vampires and all.

But, going to stay with Target until the 4th quarter is over then apply at Teletech and do my 40hr training/whatever int eh down-season when I'll have enough time to keep Target on the side and see if I'll even like teletech :/

Maria Carolina is quite small compared to her sister, at first I was worried she might be feeling down or ill, but then I realized Marie Antoinette eats a LOT more than she does. I opened the yummies canister and let Antoinette pick out one, and she tried to drag out THREE. she's going to be SUCH A LARD. lol Carolina is pretty shy-ish, and today was the first day she took one out of the canister.
They like the egg carton bit I put in the cage with them, and Carolina likes the fabric-rope I made her.

They got to go on an adventure yesterday and sat with me at my sewing table, Antoinette was a little shy, and Carolina was VERY curious, which was really cool since she's usually kinda shy. I had to put them up when I was making straps for my shirt though, because Carolina wanted to chew on it, and she told me I needed to make her one, lol.

I'm just WAITING for one of them to figure out that the hammock I made is the same stuff they like to chew up on the corner of the cage. XD
I need to clip their nails, or find something slightly abrasive for them to scurry over and keep their talons down, lol. Carolina likes to try her best to scurry up my back, and Antoinette likes to climb all over my neck, so its a little painful.  >.0

I'll be trying out the fabric pads since I made them last night, and I'll keep an eye on how smelly the cage gets. I planned to clean them out Wednesday and Saturday/Sunday, but if the fabric warrants even more frequent washings then I'll have to do newspaper and store-bought bedding.

recently got my 2 baby girl rats, and not having the chance to buy bedding yet I'm in a make-do mode as I cleaned them out this morning...
I was wondering though:

1)Is it possible to make some cage floor- dimensioned floor pad to help make clean-up easier? Something like layers of flannel/terrycloth/burlap(lol) sewn together to go into the wash?
2)I put scrap fabric slices in their cage for them to nest with, would it be a bad idea to shake them out and wash them in a lingerie bag?

I'd like to clean out their cage once or twice a week, but bedding is expensive, and patching up chewed-on flannel isn't :/ I'm trying to keep them clean and as un-smelly as possible because I know Crystal is already disinclined to like them or want them here at all.

I just really don't want her to tell the landlady since they're not going to be all over the house. :\
oh well.
Any ideas?

I'm hoping I get all $600 from le government, and get this loft bed.. I'll probably take the legs off of my current death-trap and pile up the blankets on it to make a nest-area where my ratties can live, unmolested by roommie. I might also purchase some cube-cubbies for my junk that I like, but that kinda has no real place to go.

I made a soup.. like, Pork shoulder in Chicken stock, with a pair of bacon slices for pork-flavour. I put in some potatoes, rice, carrots, green beans, a LITTLE BIT of onion, and asparagus, too.
It tastes different, but is DEFINITELY good. : D
